Bio
Old-fashioned country bear here. Cities are great to visit, but I definitely look forward to leaving behind the crowds at the end of the day.

There's nothing like getting out in the woods for camping, hiking, whitewater rafting, or cutthroat paintball. I enjoy working out at the local YMCA as well as running.

I practice a non-traditional martial art known as Krav Maga. Wikipedia describes it as: "an eclectic self-defense and military hand-to-hand combat system developed in Israel, which assumes no quarter will be given, and emphasizes maximum threat neutralization in a 'real life' context."

On a more cerebral level I enjoy medieval history with a focus on the religious and culinary anthropology of northern Europe. I'm a member of the Society of Creative Anachronism, an organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe. I teach and compete with medieval bladed projectile weapons including axes, knives, spikes, and kunai. Yep, this bear has claws. And, yep, they are sharp.

Despite my love of history, I'm a technophile who definitely enjoys his tech toys. Some evenings find me defending Paragon City (ala City of Heroes) or wreaking havok in the Rogue Isles (ala City of Villains).

I also fall into the category of "foodie"... know my way around the kitchen well. My style, like my outlook, has evolved into what could best be described as reworking "old traditional" flavors into modern healthy cooking.

Have absolutely zero tolerance for drugs (Including pot and poppers) and am not fond of smoke. I will occasional indulge in an alcholic beverage (mostly meade) but rarely drink until intoxication.

I have a strong faith and place great value in others who do so as well whatever path they may choose to walk. I was lucky enough to have met a group of like-minded men and women in the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel and it's covens which stretch across Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington DC, and Delaware.
